[SixthSt] March house concert news... http://ezezine.com
Hello, lover of fine music,
We are really excited and more than a little nervous to tell you about
our next show.
EXCITED because ROMANTICA frontman BEN KYLE is coming all the way from
Minneapolis to our house on March 17th as part of his Living Room
Theater Tour. Ben is one of our favorite new discoveries of the past
few years, and I'm so looking forward to this show.
NERVOUS because we genuinely have no idea how popular this will be. By
rights we should sell out in days, because Ben is JUST. THAT. GOOD. but
we honestly don't know many people know of him in the area. So we need
you help. If you want to discover some new musical wonders, this would
be the ideal show for you. Please come join us.
Perhaps you're already familiar with Ben, or his alt-country band
Romantica. Their sophmore album, 'America', was named "One of the Best
Albums of 2007" by Paste Magazine. Or maybe you've heard some tracks
from Ben's duets album with Carrie Rodriguez, 'We Still Love Our
Country'. You may even know some of his collaborations with Ryan Adams,
Alejandro Escovedo, Sara Watkins or Dan Wilson. If so, I'm sure you're
already hitting the 'donate' button.
But if you don't know Ben, if you haven't heard him, then my challenge
is to convince you that this is a concert to take a chance on. And the
best way I can think to do that is to let Ben's music speak for itself.
Normally I put one or two quotes on our schedule page, but for Ben I
put up a whole bunch, along with a couple of videos from Ben's recent
solo album:

So yes, we'd love you to come out to the show, ESPECIALLY (but by no
means exclusively) if you liked our Erin McKeown, Mary Gauthier; Pierce
Pettis; Clive Gregson; Stacey and Mark; or Danielle Howle shows.

Bring your family! Tell your friends!!
Thank you so much - we couldn't do this without you.
