We're more organized than usual, and after a couple of Shows That Got
Away, it looks like our next house concert will be a special
Valentine's Day treat - the last ever area show by:
STACEY EARLE and MARK STUART
February 14th, 2010
Suggested Donation: $15+
Armed with clever acoustic guitar interplay, autobiographical
songwriting, lovely harmonies, and humorous storytelling this couple
captivates your attention from the first moment they are onstage. Based
out of Tennessee, Earle and Stuart draw from blues, pop, country, rock,
and more in their heartfelt music (and yes, Stacey would be Steve's
sister).
Please come out, have a wonderful romantic (or not) evening and support
independent music while you're at it!
Now, here are some other local shows we think you should know about:

BILLY HARVEY
next Sunday, Oct 18 at 7PM in Drexel Hill.

Billy has played with and produced cd's for Bob Schneider, Charlie
Mars, Steve Poltz, Kacy Crowley and others. He is fascinating to watch
live, as he creates a full band sound with just one guitar and lots of
gadgets! He's funny, a great songwriter and a fantastic musician!

TEN YEARS OF CONCERTS@SIXTHST
It just dawned upon us that we started our little series back in 2000,
way back before we were even @SixthSt. We should probably do something
about that.
We might celebrate by having even more great shows than usual, we might
try and have one or two even 'bigger' artists than we usually get, or
we might just take things easy, as we usually do.
But if you have any suggestions, we'd love to hear them. And, if you or
anyone you know would be willing to help underwrite a show, then we'd
love to talk about it. (Unfortunately, we're a couple of permo-grad
students.)
Thank you so much for your support - we couldn't do it without you.
