Many newspapers, magazine articles, TV programs and conversations focus on health and on maintaining a healthy weight in particular. Behold the Magical Eights
- 8 Hours of Sleep
- 8 Glasses of Water
- 8 Deep Breaths
- 8 Minutes of Laughter a Day
- 8x8 Minutes of Walking
- 8 Hugs
- 8 Fruits and Vegetables
Remember: an apple a day keeps the doctor away. Eat raw green vegetables daily to defend against cancer and a give your liver a boost. Hydration is easy to do yet difficult to accomplish: concentrate on it. Walk out of your front door, meet a friend and magically you can do 64 minutes minutes of walking and at least eight minutes of laughing! Don't forget to give your friend a hug or two. Those deep breaths, laughter minutes and hugs are easily forgotten on a busy day. Be conscious of them. If you ever find yourself asleep in your chair, try getting ready for bed a little earlier, and then take a few minutes to write down all that you are grateful for that day.
