For Thanksgiving, my daughter planned for my children and grandchildren to gather at my home. Thirteen of us gathered together for the very first time, and it felt like love abounding all around us. There was cooking together, cleaning together, accomplishing my “to-do” list, game playing and preparing for a lovely Thanksgiving dinner. We expressed thanks all around prior to dinner. It felt like we were sharing our love and our light, brightening up everyone’s lives; very special moments made for a memorable occasion. Just like this quote says, when you give away love there is more to go around, not less.
There are always many opportunities to share your light and love:
within your family, your community, your church, or your neighborhood.
Just look around.
I think of the Christmas Eve Candlelight Church Service (a favorite of mine) – when we bring light into the darkness by lighting our candles from the candles of our neighbors on the pew.
Coaching questions:
- Are you increasingly grateful to be alive?
- Will you share your light and love?
- Where can you find an opportunity to do so?
- Does this bring purpose into your life?
In the words of Charles Dederich, "today is the first day of the rest of your life." Make it count.
Warm Regards,
