March 5, 2013To Learn or not to Learn . . . ?Each day, young and earnest students as well as learned professors on the Ole Miss campus surround me at my job. This vitality encourages me to learn new things. I have spent many years not learning and not honoring my talents and strengths; now, I am ready to expose myself to all the lectures, plays, conferences, readings, and music offered in Oxford. Reading and listening to books on CD and being part of a Faulkner Book Club have brought me to realize my fascination with the written word. In the summer of 2011, I took a creative writing workshop, only to discover I was a real beginner. Thus, I met with a professor about designing a path toward honing my creative writing skill; seems I have to start with Writing 101. Ole Miss offers a mature adult one free class per semester, so I plan to sign up in the fall. Some classes can even be taken online in order to fit into a work schedule. I intend to be a life long learner. Do you? Coaching Questions:
