May 5, 2012Complete that Task!!Identifying an uncompleted task in your life will help you realize the amount of energy this task is draining from you. Even the smallest of tasks uncompleted is fatiguing. I have a saying, “If it takes 2 minutes, do it.” Upon seeing items on the steps ready to go upstairs, I resist taking them until I realize it will take less than 2 minutes to accomplish. Then it is a completed task and that feels good!! Maybe you have a long-term goal and have resisted taking the next right step to reaching it. Maintaining an extreme self-care regime takes a little longer, yet the first step can be done in less than 2 minutes. Print a separate monthly calendar sheet to be checked off each day upon completing the task at hand. For example: walking 20 minutes a day, caring daily for your nails, hair and skin, or being conscious about eating healthy foods. I have been known to sneak candy or cookies, feeling this hidden food didn’t count towards a weight gain!!! "HELLO Susan." It does! Resisting the awareness of unconscious eating only makes it persist. What we wish for ourselves can become a focused intention and a completed task that energizes everyday life. Don’t fizzle out. Do it! Coaching Questions:
My accountability to my coach and myself help me do the next right thing. I want to be there for you. Call me. Warm Regards, Susan Hayman
