Our November 2013 Newsletter Cameron
Lake Fishing Lodges, Inc. |
Welcome Fishing
Friends! As I sit, buried underneath all this white stuff, my thoughts turn to fishing Cameron Lake. It has been a challenging year for me and I'm looking forward to getting back to fishing Cameron each month during our Summer season. In the meantime, I have my memories and dreams and photos. A very Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in the States. We do, indeed, have a lot to be thankful for. And we at Cameron Lake Fishing Lodges are thankful for you, your desire to play with us each year, and the unending enthusiasm and humor you bring to camp. In the breaking of bread on Thursday, may you all be blessed with the joys of the Universe and tight lines. Our 2013 Honorable Mentions page is up. Check it out! And if I've missed your mention, just zip me an email at deb@cameronlakefishinglodges.com and I'm happy to make the changes to our page. ... eat 'em
up!
Please send
me your 2013 photos. deb@cameronlakefishinglodges.com

Our
2014 Schedule 2014 at the Main
Camp and the Island Cabin:
There are a couple of
changes for 2014:
First, we will be requiring a minimum party of 4 adults per cabin for June bookings at the Main Camp. The Island Cabin still requires a party of 6. If your party is fewer than 4 adults and you want to fish with us in June, you can ask to be put on a waiting list so you might share a cabin with another smaller party. Second, rates will be $715 per adult per week for the month of June, 2014. For May, July and August our 2014 rates and cabin requirements will remain the same. That is, a minimum of 2 Adults per cabin and $665, $715 or $765 per adult depending on the number of adults in your cabin. May 17 - 23: The Island Cabin is available for the week and the Main Camp is FULL May 24 - May 30: Three cabins available for the week May 31 - June 6: One cabin available for the week June 7 - June 13: One cabin available for the week June 14 - June 20: The Island Cabin available for the week and the Main Camp is FULL The rest of the summer we still have at least 3 cabins available. Ron and Diane, 2013, Thanks for joining us this year! |

Getting To Cameron Lake Our arrival day is Saturday and departure is on Friday to accommodate the Algoma Central Railway Schedule. Most of our customers take the Algoma Central Passenger Train (ACR) from Hawk Junction. The train leaves Hawk at 3:20 on Saturday. There is no need to make reservations before your trip. You can buy your tickets when you arrive at the station in Hawk Junction. And be sure to arrive early enough to enjoy a burger at the Big Bear Bar and Grill right across from the train station. You can also catch the Algoma Central Passenger Train or the Agawa Canyon Tour Train in Sault Ste Marie. Call 1-800-242-9287. Arrangements can be made for you to take the Agawa Tour Train, explore the beautiful Agawa Canyon, and then pick up the passenger train north for the rest of your trip. You can learn more about the Agawa Canyon Tour Train here. If you prefer to drive to Oba via Hearst Ontario, you are welcome to leave your vehicle at our boat launch on the river. We ask that you make prior arrangements with us. This may require an overnight stay in the town of Hearst. On the Hearst website, click on Visitors and then Accommodations. Once you are in Oba, whether by train or your vehicle, we will lead you on a 14-mile, one-hour river trip to Cameron Lake Fishing Lodges and get you and your gear to your cabin. |

Updates at Camp Boats, motors, fish finders, picnic tables, refrigerators, and a new dock are just some of the improvements we've made at camp in 2013 Thanks to everyone who has made suggestions for improvements at camp. We'll sort through your wish list and have more updates for you in the Spring. |
