Getting To Cameron Lake Our arrival day is Saturday and departure is on Friday to accommodate the Algoma Central Railway Schedule. Most of our customers take the Algoma Central Passenger Train (ACR) from Hawk Junction. The train leaves Hawk at 3:20 on Saturday. There is no need to make reservations before your trip. You can buy your tickets when you arrive at the station in Hawk Junction. And be sure to arrive early enough to enjoy a burger at the Big Bear Bar and Grill right across from the train station. You can also catch the Algoma Central Passenger Train or the Agawa Canyon Tour Train in Sault Ste Marie. Call 1-800-242-9287. Arrangements can be made for you to take the Agawa Tour Train, explore the beautiful Agawa Canyon, and then pick up the passenger train north for the rest of your trip. You can learn more about the Agawa Canyon Tour Train here. If you prefer to drive to Oba via Hearst Ontario, you are welcome to leave your vehicle at our boat launch on the river. We ask that you make prior arrangements with us. This may require an overnight stay in the town of Hearst. On the Hearst website, click on Visitors and then Accommodations. Once you are in Oba, we will lead you on a 14-mile, one-hour river trip to Cameron Lake Fishing Lodges and get you and your gear to your cabin. |
