Our September 2012 Newsletter Cameron Lake Fishing Lodges, Inc.

Hello Fishing
Friends! Brrrrrr. Summer has come and gone. Today, the sun is shining but it's quite cool. Yesterday I looked out my window at a mix of rain and snow and wind. Only a couple of weeks ago, I was basking in the sun and warmth of Cameron Lake. Now I'm feeling the urge to find my orange vest and insulated boots. A little small-game hunting perhaps. Partridge stew anyone? And gathering the fall mushrooms is an activity I relish this time of year, as much for the time in the woods as for the bounty. 2012 was a pretty warm and windy summer on Cameron Lake. So by the time I left camp on September 8, the low water at the narrows between the lakes forced us to haul most of our gear down to the narrows and pull the boat through relatively empty. It was slow motoring through the rock piles on the river. And I had to get out of the boat one last time at the shallows and pull the boat through. But that's all part of the adventure and why I so love Cameron Lake Fishing Lodges. I'm in it for the great fishing and relaxation that comes with such seclusion. If there wasn't a little work to getting in and out of camp, everyone would be fishing Cameron Lake. So let's just keep it our little secret, okay? Here's a rare photo opportunity. We hear the wolves often. It's rare to see them. And it's even more unusual to get a photo. Just give me (Deb) a call at 231-879-4178 or zip me an email at deb@cameronlakefishinglodges.com and I'll save a cabin for you.
