Our February 2012 Newsletter Cameron Lake Fishing Lodges, Inc.
|
Hello Fishing
Friends! It's February! We are closing in on Spring and ultimately the opening of the fishing season at Cameron Lake Fishing Lodges, Inc. I love the brighter days that come with February. The sun is now peeking above the tree tops around my home, if only for just a few minutes each day. I love the evening light, that hangs around a full hour longer than in did in December. I love the morning light, that warms me just a little bit earlier each day. We are looking forward to another season of great fishing, wildlife viewing, relaxing, and play. We hope you are having a great winter and are looking forward to another trip to Cameron Lake Fishing Lodges. A 2011 View of Camp by Don Smith The website is getting an update. Most of the 2011 photos are up on our photo page. And the 2011 Honorable Mentions page is done! Check it out! If you don't see your favorite photo from 2011, I most likely don't have it. Zip it to me at deb@cameronlakefishinglodges.com If you are a Facebook member and you want to join our Facebook group, just go to Cameron Lake Fishing Lodges on Facebook and click on the link in the upper-right-hand corner of our page. We are happy to add you to the group.

Our arrival day is Saturday and departure is on Friday to accommodate the Algoma Central Railway Schedule. If you are driving to Oba, please call me to make arrangements for pickup to get you down the river. Most of our customers take the Algoma Central Passenger Train (ACR) from Hawk Junction. The train leaves Hawk at 3:20 on Saturday. If you would like to start your adventure a little earlier, you can catch the ACR or the Agawa Canyon Tour Train in Sault Ste Marie. Call the Algoma Central Railway if you would like to take the Agawa Canyon Train Tour, spend time in the canyon, and then have the ACR pick you up and take you north for the rest of your trip. 1-800-242-9287. Tell them you'd like to take the Agawa Canyon Train Tour and then continue north to Oba, Ontario. They will get you on the Agawa Canyon Tour Train and your baggage on the ACR train. You'll have time to explore the canyon before the ACR picks you up and you continue your trip north. You can learn more about the Agawa Canyon Tour Train here. So far, we know we will be at the Grand Rapids, MI Ultimate Sports Show, March 15 - 18, 2012 and the Traverse City, MI Hunt and Fish Expo, March 23 - 25, 2012. If you fished with us in 2011, please send me your photos, to deb@cameronlakefishinglodges.com And.... Give me a call at 231-879-4178 any old time you want to talk fishing! |
