Our November 2011 Newsletter Cameron
Lake Fishing Lodges, Inc. |
Hello Fishing
Friends! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It's cold outside. It has been a bit brisk here in Michigan. As I write, there's snow on the ground. Just a little. Just enough to remind me that I'd better finish up my outside chores very, very soon. My friend George tells me the ice is starting to form around the edges his trapper's lake in N. Ontario. He is just about done for the season, not wanting to get caught out there when things really ice up. Here in the States, we are about to celebrate Thanksgiving. So I get to mention again, as I said in last month's newsletter when it was Canadian Thanksgiving, that one of the greatest gifts in my life is Cameron Lake Fishing Lodges. A BIG Thank You to my up-north friends and all of you I have met at camp over the years. And I stand in appreciation of the beautiful and bountiful waters of Cameron Lake and the Oba River. Firearm deer season has begun here in Michigan and I am once again blessed to host hunting camp with good food, great drink, playful friends and an abundance of good times. I hope you are having just as much fun wherever you may be. It's time now to hunker down and get to the business of winter. I will, of course keep you updated via this newsletter. And I plan to begin work on updating the website. If you fished with us in 2011 and you have not yet seen your fishing pictures on the website, stay tuned. Over the course of the winter there will be a new crop of 2011 photos. And if you have not sent me your 2011 pics, it's time to get that done. deb@cameronlakefishinglodges.com One of the last fish frys, Late August 2011, by Deb Martin I'm still looking for suggestions for names for our Mid-Week Fish Fry. What would you call the event we are now simply calling The Mid-Week Fish Fry? Surly we can find a more creative name for that experience. If we use your name, there will be a gift waiting for you at camp. We need a couple of great adjectives: The Cameron Lake __________ __________ Fish Fry. If you are a Facebook member and you want to join our Facebook group, just go to Cameron Lake Fishing Lodges on Facebook and click on the link in the upper-right-hand corner of our page. We are happy to add you to the group. Lately we have been discussing the name for the fish fry and our favorite fishing spots on Cameron Lake. Come join us.
