Hi Everyone!
Hot off the press! We have two spots that have become available in our Bridge to Nowhere workshop here at our studio in Huntsville. You can read more about this panel below, but if you are interested in landscapes, dimension, watercolor techniques, and even mosaic then this is the one for you. The panel is large and well worth the class fee alone.
Six students will begin the workshop July 13. They will be here the 13th, 14th, and 15th with a day off for firing on the 16th. Three will come back and finish the 17th and 18th. There is one spot open in this session. The other spot is for July 13, 14, 15, 21 and 22. There is one spot open for session two. This will be the only time that the Bridge is taught at our studio. Let us know quickly if you are interested. You can call us at 936-436-2250 with all questions.
We also wanted to let you know about the posting of a new workshop at Hot Glass Houston that we are excited about. Bob Paterson has posted the Bridge to Nowhere workshop for the end of July and beginning of August, and it is filling quickly. The class is a full five days, and we will be creating one of my favorite and most difficult pieces. Many of you have asked about this piece, and this will probably be the only time that it will be taught here. It is what I would consider an advanced class, and previous experience in fusing or glass cutting is necessary.
This bridge actually exists in Round Top, TX, crafted by Mr. Finke, a master stone mason from that area. ALL of the techniques that I use are incorporated into this panel, and it is so challenging that it will keep us busy, busy for the full five days. If you are interested, please call Bob Paterson at Hot Glass Houston, www.hotglasshouston.com, located in Tomball, TX.
As usual we are thrilled to be teaching with Bob at his wonderful facility. Bob has brought so much to the glass community in this area, and we appreciate his high work ethics and business standards for all of us that use Bullseye glass. Bob's organization and business skills, as well as his helpfulness, and wonderfully friendly and cheerful personality make workshops a joy as well as a great learning experience. I'm sure that Bob would love for you to drop by his place and take a look.
Christmas plans already!
At the moment, the only class that we are planning to teach for the fall will be our Christmas ornament workshop. Need gifts for the holidays? Nothing is lovelier than our one of a kind ornaments. We LOVE Christmas ornaments and mobiles, and we stop everything for a two day class that is filled with Christmas music, goodies to eat, and lots of fun! It will be scheduled sometime in Oct., and we will have a blast! This workshop fills quickly, so let us know soon. No deposit is needed until Aug. 1, but we do need to put your name down so that you can be sure to get a spot. At this time, the cost will be approx. $350 for the weekend, which includes 3-4 large ornaments that will WOW your family and friends. If you work quickly, you might even get 5 finished!
In the meantime, John and I are starting some new and very different projects that we can't wait to share with our friends...coming soon!
Stay cool and have a wonderful vacation this summer!
