Newsletter for the New Year 2010
Happy New Year and Blessings for the New Year 2010 to all our friends and family from Dancing Light Fused Glass Studio.
This year starts with a bang as we are preparing a commissioned piece for a large company in Dallas. How exciting! Because of the time involved, we have decided to clear our class schedule until March. In March we will again be offering workshops that we have taught in the past, but with the addition of a new class in Glass Weaving. This is the “real deal” in woven glass. We will teach you how to make real weaves....not faux weaves! In addition to the woven piece, we also will include a session on how to make the molds for these weaves so that they actually look like a piece of cloth. Of course, this is an extensive class, and will probably be taught on 2 weekends or as a 4-day seminar. Look for the schedule to come out in February.
John, who works at the Sam Houston Museum, has designed a wonderful series of historical Texas flags in glass. We will be adding a page to the website that will display his wonderful creations. To order or commission pieces, just email us though the website.
As of the last of 2009, our pieces are being shown in Hanson Galleries, Houston, Eclectic, San Antonio, Clarksville Pottery, Austin, and the Linda Watson Gallery, Conroe. We are thrilled to be able to sell our art in these fine galleries.
Last year, we had a wonderful year and met so many new friends that love glass. We hope you all have a very blessed 2010, and come see us when you come to East Texas.
