The Shimmering Glass Weaves are Coming!
Summer is over, and we are so ready for cooler weather! We are also getting ready for the holidays that are coming! We have some great workshops for the month of September on the course schedule page, and are planning a NEW workshop in Glass Weaves for Oct. They are so beautiful that people are constantly running their fingers over the weave to see if it is real!!! Yes, it is real....no faux weave here! This workshop will teach how to make the molds for the weave, tricks for breaking those 1/4" or less long pieces of glass, and, yes, we will give you the answers to the mystery of how to make a weave. We should have the dates posted in the next 2 weeks.
Oct. 3 and 4, we will be in San Antonio for the River Walk Arts Festival and hope that those of you in the area will come to see us! Our pieces are always displayed at Eclectic Gallery on the River Walk. It is a lovely gallery, and we know you would enjoy stopping by to have a look.
John has a special treat for those interested in Texas History. He is creating a series of Texas historical flags in glass including the "1824 Alamo Flag," the "Dodson Tri-Color Lone Star Flag," and the current "State of Texas Flag." They are absolutely beautiful, and we think collectors will love them!
We are delighted to annouce that we have a received a commission to do a piece for an office complex being developed in downtown Dallas by the Crow Holdings. More information to come in the future!
Please call and come see us if you are in the area. Our phone number is 936-291-0975. We're looking forward to meeting those of you that have not yet been here!
