Lake Fishing Lodges, Inc. |
Welcome
Brrrrrrr. What a Winter this has been. I'm frozen to the bone and looking forward to a little change in climate. But the good news is we're gearing up for the Hunting and Fishing shows and I get to see many of you soon! We will be at the Traverse City Hunting and Fishing Expo on March 13, 14 and 15. And we will be at Gaylord's Northern Michigan's Outdoor Expo on May 1, 2 and 3. Please stop by and fill out a drawing form and talk fishing. We will be giving away one free Adult trip in a party of 2 or more Adults for each day of the both shows. Six trips total! Your odds are good. And if you've already booked with us and we draw you name, I'm happy to honor your free trip and apply it toward you balance due. So grab your week now. We're starting to get lots of bookings. |

Getting To Cameron Lake The Algoma Central Railway (ACR) Passenger Service from Hawk Junction is the mode of transportation for most of our guests. The train is running again in 2015. If you would like to keep abreast of this century-old tradition and the fate of the train, please visit The Coalition for Algoma Passenger Trains and express your opinions as well as join their mailing list. You can find details about the ACR Summer Timetable HERE. You can find details about the ACR HERE. If you choose to drive to Oba via Hearst Ontario, we have parking space for you at our boat launch on the river. You may prefer an overnight stay in the town of Hearst. On the Hearst website, click on Visitors and then Accommodations. Our Cameron Lake Fishing Lodges signs are now posted along the Caithness and Oba roads, directing you to Oba Ontario. I'm also happy to send you directions. If this is your first drive-in trip to Oba, please meet us for your pickup at the train tracks. There are two boat launches in Oba and so confusion can happen. We want to make sure we find you and we get you to camp as scheduled. We can pick you up in Oba and get you down the river to camp for your week of fishing on either Friday at 10:00 a.m. or Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Everyone returns to Oba from camp early Friday morning.
